A cool detail about Dollhouse …

When I was watching the episode on Friday, and learned that the first doll was named Alpha, I realized that there was a pattern in the naming of the dolls.  I did a little research, and sure enough, Alpha and Echo and Sierra are all part of the NATO Phonetic Alphabet, or International Radio Operators (Radiotelephony) Alphabet.  And guess what?  Victor and November are also part of the alphabet … so Agent Ballard’s next door neighbor, and mob informant are dolls too!  Oooh, I love clues.  Here is a list of the complete alphabet:

Alpha Bravo Charlie Delta Echo
Foxtrot Golf Hotel India Juliet
Kilo Lima Mike November Oscar
Papa Quebec Romeo Sierra Tango
Uniform Victor Whiskey X-Ray Yankee
Zulu

I’m guessing that they don’t necessarily use all the names, because someone named Hotel or Uniform would be a bit silly, but who knows …  I can’t wait to meet X-Ray.  This show is fun.
